Jack Reynor (Midsommar, Transformers: Age of Extinction) will star in The Mummy from Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin.
Deadline broke the news, reporting that Reynor is not playing the titular role.
The fresh take on the classic monster is due out on April 17, 2026 from Warner Bros.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Cronin previously said, “This will be unlike any Mummy movie you ever laid eyeballs on before. I’m digging deep into the earth to raise something very ancient and very frightening.”
The project is the first under the recent Blumhouse-Atomic Monster merger, with the companies producing and co-financing for New Line Cinema. James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville are producing alongside Cronin under his Doppelgängers banner.
David Garbett (Evil Dead Rise, “Ash vs Evil Dead”) is serving as director of photography.
Production is now underway, with filming set to take place in Ireland and Spain, so expect more casting announcements soon.
