Felipe Quintelas holds a bachelor’s degree in Cinema from Universidade Federal Fluminense (2013), including an exchange program in Cinematography at École Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière (2011-2012), in Paris. In 2012, he cinematographed the short film “The viewers”, directed by Pierre Loup-Docteur, which was nominated to the Student Etudes Competition award at the International Film Festival Camerimage 2013. In 2013, he returned to Paris to cinematograph in 16mm the film “La grenouille et Dieu”, by Alice Furtado, at Le Fresnoy. He also worked as the director of photography in a series of other short films, as well as in the television program “À moda da casa” (2015). More recently, he cinematographed his first fiction feature film, “Sick Sick Sick” (2019), directed by Alice Furtado, which was selected to the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs 2019 at the Cannes Film Festival.
