The release date for the Steamboat Willie-inspired horror movie Screamboat has moved from this month to April 2025, but we’ve got a brand new preview for you this morning.
The team filmed a crowd reaction trailer at a recent advance screening of Screamboat in Las Vegas, and they’ve provided Bloody Disgusting with the exclusive debut today.
In addition to the audience reaction footage as well as fresh-out-of-the-theater reviews from fans, this video also features some tasty tidbits of brand new Screamboat footage.

David Howard Thornton (Terrifier franchise’s Art the Clown) plays the killer Steamboat Willie in the upcoming horror movie, and you can preview Screamboat down below!
Iconic Events Releasing brings Screamboat to theaters, followed by a digital and home video release from DeskPop Entertainment, who are also handling worldwide sales for the picture.
In the film, “A late-night ferry ride turns deadly for a group of New Yorkers when a mischievous and murderous mouse begins a rampage, targeting unsuspecting passengers. What starts as a relaxing commute quickly spirals into a nightmarish fight for survival.”
Director Steven LaMorte promises that the film’s version of Steamboat Willie is “a 100 percent in-camera practical creature,” with both a puppet and a costume being used.
Tyler Posey (“Teen Wolf”) and Kailey Hyman (Damien Leone’s Terrifier 2) also star, with Brian Quinn (“Impractical Jokers”) and Joe DeRosa appearing in cameo roles.
The cast also includes Allison Pittel (“Stream”), Amy Schumacher (“The Mean One”), Jesse Posey (“Teen Wolf”), Jesse Kove (“Cobra Kai”), Rumi C Jean-Louis (“Hightown”) as well as Jarlath Conroy (Romero’s “Day of the Dead”) and Charles Edwin Powell (“The Exorcist III”).
Christian Beckman‘s Quantum Creation FX, Inc. (The Last Voyage of the Demeter) created the creature from designs by concept artist ().
