‘Mortal Kombat II’ – First Poster Introduces Karl Urban as Johnny Cage

The marketing campaign for Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema’s Mortal Kombat II is officially underway, with the sequel’s logo and a teaser poster being released this morning.

Meet Karl Urban’s Johnny Cage with the official marketing materials below!

The art is a faux poster for an in-universe movie titled Uncaged Fury starring Johnny Cage, and it gives us our very first look at the star of “The Boys” as the iconic MK movie star.

Mortal Kombat II fights its way into theaters on October 24, 2025.

Simon McQuoid returns to the director’s seat for Mortal Kombat 2, which will feature a screenplay by Jeremy Slater (“The Exorcist,” “Moon Knight”).

The cast of fresh faces for Mortal Kombat 2 includes Martyn Ford (“The Sandman”), Desmond Chiam (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”), Ana Thu Nguyen (Suka), and Damon Herriman (House of Wax, The Nightingale), alongside Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Tati Gabrielle as Jade and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.

In addition to Lewis Tan as Cole Young, returning cast includes Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han and Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion, and Max Huang as Kung Lao.
