As we told you yesterday, we’ve been hearing that NEON is bringing a special post-credits treat to theaters for The Monkey this weekend, a surprise that director Osgood Perkins has now himself commented on with a video shared to NEON’s social media accounts this afternoon.
Bloody Disgusting has been able to confirm that the post-credits surprise attached to The Monkey is indeed a first look at Keeper, Osgood Perkins and NEON’s next horror movie!
The first-look footage carries an ominous tone and bad vibes to the max, and Keeper – due out in theaters on October 3, 2025 – is being billed as “a dark trip from Osgood Perkins.”
You’ll be able to see the footage for yourself ONLY in theaters after The Monkey.
Written by Nick Lepard (Dangerous Animals), the upcoming NEON horror movie Keeper stars Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black”) and Rossif Sutherland (Possessor).
“Keeper follows a couple as they escape for a romantic anniversary weekend at a secluded cabin. When Malcolm (Sutherland) suddenly returns to the city, Liz (Maslany) finds herself isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil that unveils the cabin’s horrifying secrets.”
Following in the wake of Longlegs and The Monkey, Keeper will be Perkins’ third movie with NEON. Perkins previously directed The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, and the arthouse fairytale adaptation Gretel & Hansel.
Based on the Stephen King short story, The Monkey hits over 3,200 screens nationwide TONIGHT!
