After making her feature debut last year with the SCREAMBOX Original found footage movie Devon, Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley (“Jersey Shore”) is headed back into the director’s chair for Nanny Cam, with Deadline reporting that Katie Cassidy has signed on to star.

Horror fans will remember Katie Cassidy from films including When a Stranger Calls (2006), The Lost (2006), Black Christmas (2006), and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), with the upcoming Nanny Cam marking her return to horror after nearly a decade.

Deadline details, “The film follows a new mother, played by Cassidy, who grapples with her dark ancestral legacy as she tries to protect her newborn daughter against what she believes is a malevolent demon, bringing her own mental health into question.”

Riley Dandy (Christmas Bloody Christmas), Myles Clohessy (Frontier Crucible), and Sol Miranda (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) will also star in writer-director Jenni Farley’s movie.

Nanny Cam delves into the chilling story of Trinity, a young woman haunted by the fears and anxieties of first-time motherhood—fears I know all too well,” Farley teases.

“Growing up with an absent mother, I often battled a nagging voice that questioned my ability to be a good parent,” she adds. “This film captures the unsettling darkness of those doubts, revealing how personal demons can transform the joy of motherhood into a terrifying struggle.”

If you missed it last year, you can stream Farley’s found footage horror movie Devon on SCREAMBOX now. It’s also available for rental and purchase on VOD outlets including Prime.
