Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively learn that every friendship has its twists in the teaser trailer for Another Simple Favor.
Paul Feig returns to direct the sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favor from writers Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island, Alita: Battle Angel) and Jessica Sharzer (A Simple Favor, “American Horror Story”).
Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively) reunite on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.
The mystery comedy is set to premiere at South by Southwest Festival on March 7 before releasing on Prime Video on May 1.
Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, and Ian Ho also reprise their roles from the first film, joined by Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Elena Sofia Ricci, Alex Newell, and Allison Janney.
Another Simple Favor is rated “R” for violence, sexual content, nudity, language throughout, and suicide.
