‘Ready or Not 2’ Cast Announce Includes Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Cronenberg! [Video]

Filming is now underway on Ready or Not 2 from returning directors Radio Silence, and a video this afternoon reveals the incredible main cast for the upcoming horror sequel.

Samara Weaving is back, starring in Ready or Not 2 alongside Kathryn Newton (Abigail), Sarah Michelle Gellar (“Dexter: Original Sin”), Shawn Hatosy (“The Pitt”), Néstor Carbonell (“Shogun”), Elijah Wood (“Yellowjackets”), and horror master David Cronenberg!

The sequel’s official title? Ready or Not: Here I Come!

Watch the cast announcement video below, which features all of the above names. And according to Deadline, Kevin Durand (Abigail) will also be starring in Ready or Not 2.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are back to direct for Searchlight Pictures with a script by original Ready or Not writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.

“We’re thrilled to be returning to the world of Ready or Not with Samara,” said Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett, “and so excited to work with this immensely talented cast and the incredible artists across every department joining the Ready or Not family.”

Searchlight’s Matthew Greenfield adds, “We’re beyond excited to make another film with the phenomenal Radio Silence. We get to go on another ride with the amazing Samara Weaving, mix in awesome new voices, and bring audiences a fresh take that’s every bit as twisted and fun as the first one. This is for those who’ve been waiting, and those who didn’t see it coming.”

The first film in 2019 followed a young bride (Weaving) as she joined her new husband’s rich, eccentric family in a time-honored tradition that turned into a lethal fight for survival.
