In 2021, Tommy Wirkola (Violent Night, Dead Snow) delivered a delightfully deranged and bloody comedic thriller in The Trip, and a new take on the film is now on the way.
It’s titled Over Your Dead Body, with Samara Weaving and Jason Segel starring!
Independent Film Company announced today that they have acquired the U.S. rights to Over Your Dead Body, directed by “Saturday Night Live” alumnus and Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone (Pop Star: Never Stop Stopping, MacGruber).
The film, adapted by Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney from the acclaimed Norwegian cult thriller, I Onde Dager, features an all-star lineup including Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle, and Keith Jardine.
Independent Film Company is set to release the film wide theatrically.
Over Your Dead Body follows a dysfunctional couple (Segel and Weaving) who head to a remote cabin to supposedly reconnect, but each has secret plans to kill the other.
