Executive produced by Chad Villella, Tyler Gillett, and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (aka Scream and Ready or Not‘s Radio Silence), directed by Max Tzannes, and co-written by Tzannes and David San Miguel, Found Footage: The Making of The Patterson Project draws inspiration fromThis is Spinal Tap and found footage classics like The Blair Witch Project to tell the story of a crew of acclaimed documentarians as they chronicle a young filmmaker’s quest to create the world’s greatest found footage horror film:
Found Footage is a mockumentary horror movie about a budding filmmaker's attempt to produce his first feature, a found footage movie about Bigfoot. Through the eyes of an esteemed French documentary crew, the story follows his unlikely band of misfits as they struggle to keep the production afloat on a shoestring budget.
All the while, mysterious and sinister occurrences begin to unfold behind the scenes, blurring the lines between movie magic and real life. As the shoot days get longer and scarier, the filmmakers quickly learn that they've stepped into a very real and very terrifying found footage film of their own.
Brennan Keel Cook (The Pale Blue Eye), Chen Tang (Warrior), Erika Vetter (Somebody I Used to Know) and Dean Cameron (Straight Outta Compton, Summer School) star as the crew, who you can see getting ready for the Bigfoot money shot in today's exclusive clip.
Tyler Friesen produced Found Footage: The Making of The Patterson Project, with cinematography handled by Jacob Souza, who, along with Tzannes and San Miguel, makes up part of film collective Dirty Shot Clean (dsc).
