Fighting zombies with your bare hands feels especially dangerous in an outbreak, yet a Muay Thai fighter does just that for the sake of love in the new trailer for the Netflix film Ziam.
Netflix Thailand’s first action-zombie film debuts on the streaming service on July 9, 2025.
As for the plot, “In a world gripped by food shortages, a tenacious Muay Thai boxer battles a zombie outbreak inside a hospital to save his lover from the jaws of death.”
Mark-Prin Suparat stars as Singh, the former professional Muay Thai fighter willing to take on hordes with his bare hands. Nychaa-Nuttanicha Dungwattanawanich, Vayla-Wanvayla Boonnithipaisit, Johnny Anfone, Pimmada Borriruksupakorn, and Jason Young also star.
Kulp Kaljareuk directs from a script by Nut Nualpang, Weerasu Worrapot, Vatanyu Ingkavivat, and Chonnatee Pimnam.
“We’ve all seen many zombie movies, but we rarely see zombies involved in hand-to-hand combat or boxing. We wanted to explore what it’s like to fight zombies using the techniques of Muay Thai, which is known for its intensity and the use of the entire body, including elbows and knees as powerful weapons,” Director Kulp Kaljareuk explained to Netflix. “Each zombie is crafted with special makeup.
