The IndieGogo campaign for Andrew Saullo‘s Resident Evil fan web series, RESURRECTION: A Biohazard Story, is a success. Launched back in May, the 60-day campaign reached its goal of raising $200,000 to bring the four-part series to life, greenlighting full production. The current total stands at just over $205,000, with 36 hours left in the campaign.
Set to premiere free of charge on the Residence of Evil YouTube Channel in 2026— in celebration of Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary — the series promises to deliver an intense fusion of classic survival horror, action, and drama. Building on the momentum and praise received from The Keeper’s Diary, which reimagined the iconic diary entry from the original Resident Evil, RESURRECTION takes a bold step forward. With a runtime of approximately one hour across four episodes, this original narrative is the most expansive fan project ever attempted in the RE space.
Set in Rosa Enferma, Mexico in 2021, RESURRECTION follows returning and new characters as a new biohazard crisis not only wreaks havoc in the present, but reopens painful wounds of the
past. The story is designed to fuse the atmosphere of the classic titles with the cinematic edge of modern Resident Evil entries, while spotlighting original lore that both honors and expands
upon the core games.
Fan excitement reached a fever pitch as original 1996 Resident Evil cast members — Charlie Kraslavsky (Chris Redfield), Eric Pirius (Albert Wesker), Greg Smith (Barry Burton), Linda
(Rebecca Chambers), and Pablo Kuntz (voice of Wesker) — return to reprise their roles nearly 30 years later. They’re joined by Joe Whyte (voice of Chris Redfield in the 2002 remake),
as Jill Valentine, (the original “Resident Evil” title announcer), and others.
