Gary Dauberman, through his Coin Operated banner, is teaming with Brightburn director David Yarovesky to develop a new horror movie, He Never Dies, Deadline reports today.
It appears the title is apt, as the logline reads: “The man they killed keeps coming back. Bigger. Stronger. Less human. No matter what they do…HE. NEVER. DIES.”
Of course, no details have been revealed beyond that, but it feels safe to predict that it’ll be vastly different from He Never Died, which starred Henry Rollins as an immortal cannibal unable to die.
Both Dauberman and Yarovesky, who will write and direct the upcoming project, have been sticking closely to the genre space recently. Yarovesky most recently helmed Locked, a Sam Raimi-produced thriller starring Anthony Hopkins and Bill Skarsgård. He previously directed Netflix’s gateway horror fantasy movie Nightbooks.
