CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD bursts onto your TV in August along with Jaume Balagueró's VENUS, and THE TWIN
Fiendish delights await you on this list of new Horror movies on Shudder. Not only is there another frightfully funny and informative episode of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, and four new thoughtfully curated Shudder Watch Parties this month on the way, but you have a harlequin approaching you across dark fields of grain.
Yes, it's true, director Eli Craig's (Tucker and Dale vs Evil) adaptation of author Adam Cesare's book of the same name is finally being unleashed on Shudder in August. In the last few weeks of summer, our minds and fearful hearts are already turning to thoughts of slasher killers, with chainsaws, pitchforks, and crossbows. Eli Craig has taken a different tack with Clown in a Cornfield, creating more of a straightforwardly scary and gory vibe to the proceedings, but not forgetting the humor inherent in the terror, which bodes well for a late summer watch.

You'll find the first two Urban Legend films, Venus, the latest film from the co-director of [REC], Jaume Balagueró, which has not been widely available but is definitely worth a watch, and, among the Shudder Watch Party films, The Sadness, When Evil Lurks, and In a Violent Nature, which have some of the greatest kills in recent memory and have some of the most disturbing scenes ever seen in horror.
