A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 7-Film Collection Slicing Onto 4K This Fall

Warner Bros. is unleashing Freddy Krueger onto 4K UHD with a stacked 7-movie A Nightmare on Elm Street collection set to release this fall.
Per Bloody Disgusting, who reported the news exclusively earlier today, the collection includes the original seven films in the iconic slasher franchise, which (we're sure we don't need to remind you), began in 1984 with Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street. Also included are A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985), A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988), A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989), Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare(1991), and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994) – along with the uncut versions of A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Dream Child.
The collection also includes an alternate ending of Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare presented in anaglyph 3D and complete with 3D glasses in the physical collection.
The set comes stacked with archival special features, including commentaries with the late, great Craven, behind the scenes featurettes and alternate endings, as well as two brand new special features that Bloody outline for us below:
- Boiler Room Confessional: The king of slashers, Robert Englund, takes us on a journey through the dream world, sharing what inspired Freddy Krueger, his rise as a cultural icon, and the legacy of A Nightmare on Elm Street, plus his favorite kills, scenes, and more.
- Freddy’s Footnotes: Robert Englund and original A Nightmare on Elm Street filmmakers revisit iconic scenes, revealing the movie magic and chaos behind our favorite nightmares. Pull back the curtain and relive epic moments through the eyes of those who made them.
The Elm Street collection will be available in limited edition collectible SteelBook packaging (exclusive to Amazon) and as a standard 4K collection and will be available to purchase on Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc online and in-store at major retailers and available for purchase Digitally from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango at Home and more.
