Move over Dave Franco and Alison Brie, because another IRL Hollywood couple are headlining a horror movie this year, with scream king Justin Long (Barbarian) and Kate Bosworth (Before I Wake) leading Coyotes, an “elevated” horror-comedy set for release this fall via Aura Entertainment.

Directed by Colin Minihan (Grave Encounters) and written by Tad Daggerhart(The Expendables 4) and Nick Simon (The Pyramid), the film follows a family trapped in their Hollywood Hills home who must fight for survival as a pack of savage coyotes closes in.

Mila Harris (Mary), Brittany Allen(Dexter: Original Sin), Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters), and Norbert Leo Butz (A Complete Unknown) also star.

In a statement, Marc Goldberg, CEO of Aura Entertainment had a lot of praise for Coyotes:

Coyotes is an elevated, nuanced horror comedy with an unsettling atmosphere […] Led by Justin Long and Kate Bosworth, Coyotes is an unforgettable film that will be on every moviegoer’s mind this fall. At AURA, these are exactly the types of films we bring to audiences worldwide – bold, genre-savvy, and creatively unabashed.”

Long and Bosworth previously worked together on the 2022 horror House of Darkness, with the latter also giving a vocal performance in Barbarian.

Following its World Premiere at Fantastic Fest in September,, Coyotes will open in theaters across the U.S. on October 3.
