Top Horror Movies Streaming This Week
The excitement never stops on the top horror movies on streaming list. In a huge reversal from last week's Alien franchise takeover of the list that took most of 2025's favorites out of the race, some new films have appeared, and some of this year's favorites have risen back to the top. With new contenders bringing vibrant new scares to streaming horror, it's a very good week to be home on the couch watching movies.
Osgood Perkins has been on a roll since the release of his off-kilter film phenomenon and huge hit Longlegs in 2024. Not only is his next film, Keeper, scheduled to open in November, but he also released one seriously blood-soaked, yet touching horror comedy, The Monkey, earlier this year. It was a change of pace that made people take notice and did very well at the box office, especially because of the inventive, Rube Goldberg-like deaths that were visited on so many of the characters.
Who would have predicted that another horror movie starring Ice Cube would come to the top ten so soon, especially since it is a screenlife adaptation of H.G. Wells' “War of the Worlds”? Maybe not too many people, but this new film has social media buzzing and people dropping everything to take it in as soon as possible. The predictable result? It's part of this week's top ten.
