Exclusive Premiere: Horror Short MR. STATIC Is Here To Haunt Your Nightmares (And Television Sets)
Mr. Static, the brand new short from award-winning filmmaker Mike Williamson (In the Wall, Deathly) was a hit on the festival scene last year, and we're excited to bring you the online premiere today.
In Mr. Static, which stars Christina Elizabeth Smith, Bill Watterson and Josh Petersdorf as the voice of the titular Mr. Static, a woman must watch a live video stream of household murders that are mysteriously broadcast to an old television, or face dire consequences.
Following its 2024 premiere at Los Angeles' Beyond Fest, Mr Static has screened at Brooklyn Horror Film Fest, Philadelphia Film Festival, Soho Horror Fest London, Knoxville Horror Fest, Fantasporto Portugal, Chattanooga Film Fest, Panic Fest, Overlook Film Festival and Seattle International Film Festival, as well as winning “Best Short Film with Feature Potential” as part of MovieJawn‘s Best of 2024 roundup.
