Go Behind-the-Scenes of I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER In Exclusive Bonus Features Clip
The reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer has arrived on digital, and to celebrate, Sony is releasing some special behind the scenes content. Ahead of the film arriving on physical media in October, FANGORIA is excited to premiere an exclusive clip from the film’s bonus features, available only on the film’s 4K and Blu-ray release.
The reboot of the cult film, originally adapted from Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel in 1997, stars Jonah Hauer-King, Madelyn Cline, Alexander Chavez, Lola Tung, Tyriq Withers, and Chase Sui Wonders, as well as original stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. Similar to the original, the film’s synopsis is as follows:
When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.
The I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot is directed by Do Revenge helmer Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, from a script co-written by she and Sam Lansky. The 4K and Blu-ray versions of the film also feature deleted and extended scenes, outtakes and bloopers, a cast featurette, a digital code for redeeming the film, and the full version of the clip below, where the cast and crew discusses making a sequel to the iconic ‘90s thriller, replete with breaking down its best kills.
