READY OR NOT 2 Will Deepen The Mythology, Says Elijah Wood

Currently getting his freak on in Macon Blair's The Toxic Avenger, Elijah Wood is stepping straight back into horror with a role in Radio Silence's long-awaited Ready or Not sequel, officially titled Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, and he's revealed some new juicy plot tidbits.
Wood joins Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kevin Durand, Kathryn Newton and body horror master David Cronenberg, as well as returning Ready or Not star Samara Weaving who played Grace Le Domas, a young bride quickly turned widow after her fiance’s family drew a card in a deadly game that made her the target.
Shawn Hatosy (The Pitt) and Néstor Carbonell (Shōgun) are also set to star, with writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy returning for the “fucking banger” of a script.
In a new interview with Bloody Disgusting, Wood reveals more of what we can expect from the horror comedy sequel, including confirming where Ready or Not 2 will sit in the timeline:
“I’m a big fan of Radio Silence. I love their films. I love the original. I think Ready or Not is a total blast […] I love Samara [Weaving] in that film. I love the cast of that movie and the kind of nugget of the mythology that you get.
What I love about this sequel is that it really deepens that mythology, so I’m stoked for people to see it […] It’s a movie that takes place almost immediately after the first one ends and enriches everything you love about the original film.”
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is set to hit theaters on April 10, 2026 via Searchlight Pictures. Look out for more as we get it!
