Exclusive: Alamo Drafthouse Reveals Their DARK VISIONS Halloween Celebrations For 2025
Are you ready for Halloween? Because Alamo Drafthouse certainly is. FANGORIA is excited to team up with the beloved cinema chain to reveal their plans for the spookiest season of the year, including new merchandise, special food and drink options, and a killer lineup of films, including the return of popular classics and the arrival of new favorites.
The chain’s Dark Visions film series, this year presented by Season 2 of the Audible series The Prophecy, features a ghoulish lineup of new films, including The Strangers — Chapter 2, Shelby Oaks, and Black Phone 2, all of which hit theaters this Halloween season. Also on the docket are beloved favorites like Casper, Corpse Bride, Frankenstein, The Craft, 28 Days Later, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and the 40th anniversary version of Re-Animator.
But that’s not all. They’ll also be hosting special, interactive movie parties for The Mummy, Scream, Creepshow, and Van Helsing, and highlighting the return of Freddy Krueger himself. Exclusively at Alamo Drafthouse locations, the entire A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise will be shown in razor-sharp 4K, daring you to stay awake through the entire cult-classic series. This event pairs with their annual Dismember the Alamo pre-Halloween horror marathon, which returns on October 25 and features secret films, wall to wall scares, and limited edition merchandise.
Moviegoers will also be able to indulge in Alamo’s new Dark Visions themed menu, which will be available from September 30 to November 3. Items on the special menu include their pumpkin and pie spice-flavored Cult Classic Shake, the Protector Pie pizza, a special Water to Rum cocktail, and the Divine Dough-Nation Cookies, from which $1 of every order will go to local breast cancer nonprofits.
And if you want to take the scares home with you, Alamo Drafthouse’s website features special new spooky merch, including a blood bath shower curtain featuring vinatge horror ad blocks, a 3D skull snow globe, and merch themed after everyone’s favorite killer robot, with M3GAN themed popcorn buckets and 14 karat gold charms.
