Greg Nicotero’s Horror Competition Series GUTS & GLORY Sets New Shudder Release Date

Previously scheduled for release earlier this week, Shudder's upcoming horror-based competition show Guts & Glory, from award-winning SFX wizard and and executive producer Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead, Creepshow), has been pushed back closer to creepy season, with the first two episodes now hitting the horror streamer and AMC+ on October 14.
Guts & Glory will now roll out weekly on Tuesdays (finishing up with a two-episode finale on November 4) as part of Shudder's Season of Screams programming event, which features a gargantuan lineup of new film releases, series, specials and live watch parties on Shudder TV.
In Guts & Glory, players are thrust into an immersive horror experience full of unexpected, genre-themed challenges that Nicotero describes as ‘if Survivor and The Blair Witch Project had a baby':
The new series blends the intensity of a horror film with the pressure of a reality show survival game, confronting the contestants’ fears, skill and intellect in various scenarios. Players must survive the night or be eliminated in ways they never saw coming.
Nicotero serves as showrunner on the six-episode series as well as executive producing alongside Brian Witten from Monster Agency Productions, Chris Wagner from White Label, and Andrew Molina from Salaryman. Jeffrey F. January serves as co-executive producer.
Don't miss Guts & Glory when it airs on October 14!
