Amanda Seyfried And Sydney Sweeney Face Off In THE HOUSEMAID Trailer

Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney aren't exactly getting along like a house on fire in the new trailer for The Housemaid, Paul Feig's domestic thriller hitting theaters on December 19 via Lionsgate.
Based on the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden and adapted for screen by The Boys and The Vampire Diaries writer Rebecca Sonnenshine, The Housemaid sees Sweeney play Millie, a struggling woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Drop's Brandon Sklenar), an upscale, wealthy couple. She soon learns that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own:
What begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous – a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. Behind the Winchesters’ closed doors lies a world of shocking twists that will leave you guessing until the very end.
Michele Morrone and Elizabeth Perkins also star, with producers including Todd Lieberman for Hidden Pictures, alongside Feig and Laura Fischer for Feigco. Serving as executive producers are Sweeney, Seyfried, McFadden and Alex Young.
Back in April, Feig, of Bridesmaids and Ghostbusters fame, explained that the blend of “tension and scares and comedy” drew him to The Housemaid, which certainly seems evident in today's tense new trailer.
