Exclusive THE TOXIC AVENGER Clip Goes Behind The Scenes Of Toxie’s Transformation
To celebrate The Toxic Avenger coming to VOD following its fundraising theatrical run, we've got an exclusive clip that goes behind the scenes of Macon Blair's long-awaited Troma remake.
Finally released this year after its Fantastic Fest premiere all the way back in 2023, in Blair's reimagining of Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman's 1984 sick superhero tale, Peter Dinklage stars as downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze, who, after a freak accident, transforms into the mutant vigilante we know and love as Toxie:
“Armed with his signature mop, the unlikely hero battles freaks, gangsters and corrupt CEOs while trying to save his relationship with his son. The story channels the subversive gonzo energy of the original Toxic Avenger while delivering a fresh, contemporary twist,”
Starring alongside Dinklage are Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, Julia Davis, Taylour Paige and Luisa Guerreiro, who provides Toxie's physical performance.
A DVD and Blu-ray of The Toxic Avenger follows the VOD release on October 28, as well as a 4K + Blu-ray Collector’s Edition release, which includes a limited edition lenticular O-Sleeve, a Steelbook – 4K + Blu-ray (Collector’s Edition), and an Amazon exclusive 4K UHD + Blu-ray Collector’s Edition, that also includes the original The Toxic Avenger on 4K UHD.
