Los Angeles is the place to be this Halloween, and one of its biggest holiday events just opened up ticket sales. Silverlake Scream Show just announced its annual event, with year four headlined by the premiere of a brand-new horror anthology, featuring six original indie shorts from local LA filmmakers, all screening at the Silverlake Jewish Community Center on October 31.

Silver Scream Show, now officially a registered nonprofit, is dedicated to spotlighting new and local voices in horror, while also supporting a creative hub for the LA horror community. This year’s anthology, lovingly referred to as Volume 4, is themed around “Camp Scream Show,” a chilling collection of scary stories told as if around a camp bonfire.

Doors open for the event at 7:30PM PT on Halloween night, but the event is more than just a screening. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes, and will be able to explore pop-ups and purchase from local vendors, including Last Looks Grooming, Mother Knows Tarot, and Midnight Marauders. Food trucks will offer delightfully devilish snack options, and Dulce Vida Tequila will be crafting special cocktail potions, alongside Macabre Spirits hosting an exclusive tasting. Plus, the entire event is soundtracked by a live DJ so guests can dance til they drop!

“Silverlake Scream Show is not just about making movies,” says the team behind the event. “It’s about cultivating a creative community of genre lovers and building the epicenter of indie horror in Los Angeles.”

This year’s Silverlake Scream Show will take place on October 31 at the Silverlake Jewish Community Center, and tickets are available now via Eventbrite
