Emma Stone And Jesse Plemons Get Weird In New BUGONIA Trailer
Following its showing at Fantastic Fest as one of the fest's secret screenings, Yorgos Lanthimos' dark sci-fi comedy Bugonia gets a creepy and kooky new trailer today from Focus Features ahead of a special limited theatrical engagement run on October 24, before releasing wide on Halloween.
Starring in Bugonia are frequent Lanthimos collaborators Emma Stone (Poor Things) and Jesse Plemons (Kinds of Kindness), as well as Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.
A remake of Jang Joon-hwan's Save the Green Planet! from 2003, Bugonia was written by Will Tracy (The Menu), and follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.
Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) produced Bugonia, along with Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Miky Lee, Jerry Kyoungboum Ko, Lanthimos, Stone, and Lars Knudsen.
