Exclusive: Jason Voorhees Is Resurrected In Funko Form For New Collectible
The tall king's been shrunk down to toy size.
Jason Voorhees is back and better than ever, and he isn’t stopping at just on-screen appearances. No, the folks behind Jason Universe are expanding into plenty of collectibles for avid slasher fans to bring home, and FANGORIA is excited to debut the first look at a brand new addition: a Jason Universe Funko Pop!
This particular Funko Pop is based on the version of Jason designed by Tom Savini for Friday the 13th: The Game. (RIP to a real one.) Based on how Jason would have looked had he escaped Hell after Jason Goes to Hell, he features his signature camo outfit — covered in blood, of course — and hockey mask, and comes equipped with a bloodied trident, ready for another kill to arrive at any second.
The new Funko Pop is part of a diverse line of merchandise based on the Jason Universe version of the iconic slasher, which features everything from collectibles and costumes to regular apparel. Other merch items in the lineup also include a Chia pet bearing his infamous mask, a hockey jersey available only at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, and miniature figures from Youtooz.
There’s also a shocking amount of food items based on the Friday the 13th killer available this year. Attendees of Halloween Horror Nights can grab Pamela’s Smoked Brisket Mac and Cheese or the Cam Creamy Gouda Fondue from the Jason Universe Barbecue, or snack on the Mess Hall Turkey Leg, Mommy’s Special Margarita, or Pam’s Punch. Those not attending the event can pick up Angry Orchard’s new Thriller Variety Pack of ciders, featuring Jason’s mask on the side of its specially themed cans.
