It's those late releases that sometimes make a big difference on the list of top horror movies on streaming this week. Zach Creggar's newest film, Weapons, just couldn't be stopped after being released on Friday, October 24. This late scary season drop had some serious momentum straight out of the gate, and it's not the only new film on the list. Michelle Garza Cervera's second feature film, a remake of the 90s thriller, The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, also hit streaming last week. Garza Cervera was previously known for directing the beautifully creepy Mexican terror tale, Huesera: The Bone Woman.
As for the rest of the list? There's classic slasher horror, nouveau slasher horror, music-loving vampires, terrifying foster care amid the ravages of grief, and the film that may hold the record for the longest consecutive stretch on the top ten for all time.
