Osgood Perkins’ KEEPER Is Still Holding Onto Its Secrets In Final Trailer

Osgood Perkins’ newest film isn’t giving up any of its secrets before it hits theaters next week. The final trailer for Keeper has arrived ahead of its November 14 release, and if you were expecting to learn anything more about the mysterious new film, you’re out of luck.
It’s no surprise that this final trailer still isn’t really telling us anything about the film, really. Much like the marketing for Perkins’ last several films, this newest teaser is keeping things firmly under wraps, focusing less on the film’s plot and more on its star, Tatiana Maslany, as she’s caught in what is clearly the most terrifying experience of her life, interspersed by pull quotes proving that Perkins is once again fully prepared to scare the pants off his audience.
The newest film from the director of Longlegs and The Monkey has earned prairie from auteurs across the genre, including Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro, James Wan, and more, who call the mysterious film a “terrifying, ghostly descent into madness” and a piece of “horror origami that skillfully folds into itself.”
The most we know about the film’s plot is that it features Maslany alongside Rossif Sutherland as couple Liz and Malcolm, who head to a secluded cabin to celebrate their anniversary. But, when Liz is left alone after Malcolm is suddenly forced to return to the city, she’s haunted by something malicious, determined to unveil the cabin’s secrets to her. Perkins also said at a sneak peek attended by our own Angel Melanson that the film is about “being afraid of people”:
“Ultimately, it centers on the duality that is both the fear and desire of being known and knowing. These notions of unease around the people in our lives, the people we are intimate with, is the framework of this movie.”
Keeper hits theaters on November 14. Check out the new trailer below.
