Nicole Kidman Makes A Grand Return To Horror For THE YOUNG PEOPLE

Despite the fact that he’s got a movie hitting theaters this week, Osgood Perkins is already ramping things up for his next movie, and he’s recruiting some major stars to help him do it. Deadline reports that Nicole Kidman is joining the cast of The Young People, Perkins’ next film led by The Summer I Turned Pretty alum Lola Tung, which hits theaters next year.
Kidman joins a cast that also includes Suitable Flesh’s Heather Graham, Tatiana Maslany, Lexi Minetree, Lily Collias, Brendan Hines, Cush Jumbo, and Jackass star (and genre veteran) Johnny Knoxville. The cast is, thus far, all we know about the film, aside from a singular picture of Tung, who stars alongside The Last of Us’s Nico Parker, next to a bathtub filled with blood — unsurprising, given the secrecy surrounding all of Perkins’ other films up to this point.
Perkins is once again set to direct The Young People from his own script, with Neon producing and distributing the film, as a part of a partnership that’s produced Longlegs, The Monkey, and the upcoming Keeper. Perkins also produces the film alongside Chris Ferguson for his banner Phobos, as well as Brian Kavanaugh-Jones.
Nicole Kidman is no stranger to horror, as many fanatics know. While she’s primarily recognized for roles in films like Moulin Rouge and Practical Magic, she’s also starred in terrifying projects like The Others, Eyes Wide Shut, and the remake of The Stepford Wives, as well as working with popular horror directors like Yorgos Lanthimos. She joins a cast of primarily fresh faces for Perkins, aside from Maslany, who stars in Keeper alongside Rossif Sutherland, which hits theaters this Friday.
The Young People will premiere sometime in 2026. Stay tuned to FANGORIA for more updates as they arrive.
