Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3 is heading into its second weekend of box office infamy against Paramount Pictures’ goliath Smile 2 and still looks to break even more records, possibly becoming the highest-grossing unrated movie of all time.
Outside of the viral nature of Terrifier 3, part of the film’s success is that the ultra slasher is connecting with both audiences and critics, as proven by the Rotten Tomatoes scores.
Entertainment journalist Erik Davis pointed out something extraordinary this week – Terrifier 3 is the first new horror movie to go both “Certified Fresh” and “Verified Hot” since the Verified Hot designation was launched back in August on Rotten Tomatoes.
