Josh Hutcherson And Caleb Landry Jones In Talks For A24 Bachelor Party Horror

Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games, Five Nights at Freddy's) and Caleb Landry Jones (Possessor, Get Out) are eyeing roles in an untitled A24 horror feature from The First Omen director Arkasha Stevenson, Deadline reports today.
Also looking to join the mysterious pic are Frank Dillane (Fear the Walking Dead) and Whitmer Thomas (Weapons), with Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) executive producing via his Square Peg banner, with Lars Knudsen, Emily Hildner, Harrison Huffman and Christina D’Souza also producing. Tim Smith, writer of The First Omen, will also produce.
Per Deadline, the logline remains under wraps, but the film, written by Stevenson and Smith, reportedly centers on a bachelor party that spirals into terror.
Stevenson's The First Omen, a prequel to the 1976 horror classic The Omen, starred Nell Tiger Free as an American nun who joins a convent in Rome, only to become embroiled in a sinister plot to bring about the Antichrist. Considered a twin film with the Sydney Sweeney-starring Immaculate, as the pair were released within months of each other and share similar themes, both films explore themes of women's bodily autonomy, a topic that has, sadly, become more and more of a talking point since the real-life evil overturning of Roe v. Wade.
While we wait for updates on Stevenson's upcoming mystery horror, here's everything we know about A24's upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series, Crystal Lake.
