THE RUNNING Man Soundtrack Sprints To Vinyl Courtesy Of Mutant
Catch it if you can.

If, like us, you thought the soundtrack to Edgar Wright’s adaptation of The Running Man is perfect for your next jog, we’ve got great news for you: a physical release of the film’s score is coming soon, courtesy of Mutant and Milan Records.
Featuring an original score composed by Steven Price, who also worked with Wright on Last Night in Soho and Baby Driver, The Running Man will be available on both vinyl and CD in a two-disc set of twenty-five tracks. The vinyl edition is pressed on 140 gram red swirl vinyl and features cover art by Luke Preece depicting Glen Powell’s character Ben Richards on the run from the Network. The record is housed in a custom O card with the Network logo obscured by graffiti reading “Richards Lives” — if you know, you know — and comes with a replica of the zines produced by Michael Cera’s character Elton, which feature liner notes from both Price and Wright.
“We’re huge fans of both Edgar and Steven, and it’s great to see them creating another killer time at the movies,” Mutant says. “Steven Price’s score for The Running Man is a dazzling mix of propulsive beats, gurgling synths, and traditional orchestral elements that fizz with invention and style. The central theme has an elegant, timeless quality, with lush, calming strings weaving a hypnotic melody.
“Contrast this with the tracks that accompany the game show segments, which are really fun, bombastic, and retro, and which again contrast with the more sinister, dystopian pieces scattered throughout. Placed within the film, the music feels like another character pushing the story along. As a standalone listen, it is engaging, dynamic, and really fun, and it perfectly captures the many tones and moods of the film.”
