EDWARD SCISSORHANDS Celebrates 35 Years With New Monster High Collectible

Edward Scissorhands is the latest horror icon to get the Monster High treatment. The popular horror-inspired doll line has just announced their latest Skullector doll, a feminine take on Johnny Depp’s character from the beloved Tim Burton film, which celebrates its thirty-fifth anniversary this year.
Retailing for $70USD, the 10.5-inch doll features a beautiful Monster High take on Edward himself, featuring eleven points of articulation. Along with voluminous black hair and a clockwork-inspired headband to hold it back, the doll wears a black faux leather bodysuit with buckle straps, paired with a sheer, lacy skirt to emulate Edward’s memorable costume. She also comes with knee-high black heels, featuring a few Easter eggs on the heel, and of course, wouldn’t be complete without her titular scissor hands.
The doll also comes with a doll stand to display her on, a certificate of authenticity, and custom fold-out packaging for additional display potential. Fans interested in adding her to their collection will be able to purchase her exclusively on the Mattel Creations website, beginning on December 4 at 9AM PT.
Monster High’s Edward Scissorhands doll is just one of many in the brand’s Skullectors line, which also includes high-fashion versions of characters from The Lost Boys, The Shining, Beetlejuice, and more. Most recently, they released a high-fashion version of the Xenomorph Queen from Alien, complete with an H.R. Giger-inspired headpiece and a deadly matching outfit.
But if you’re not so much interested in dolls, a special 4K Ultra HD edition of the film, also starring Winona Ryder and Dianne Wiest, was released in October. Collectors can grab the limited edition steelbook for audio commentaries from Tim Burton and Danny Elfman, as well as special featurettes and a new Dolby Atmos version of the film.
