COBWEB Writer Teams With Divide/Conquer For First Film Under New Blumhouse-Atomic Monster Deal

Cobweb writer Chris Thomas Devlin just lined up his next project. The screenwriter, who is also responsible for the 2022 version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Netflix, is set to write Doomtown, a new survival horror film to be produced by Divide/Conquer, the production company run by Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath, as part of their new first look deal with Blumhouse & Atomic Monster.
While the synopsis for Doomtown is being kept under wraps, the film is set to be produced not only by Hendricks and Gilreath, but Atomic Monster founder James Wan as well, alongside Michael Clear, Ingrid Bisu, and Judson Scott. The film represents the first project under Divide/Conquer’s new deal with the production company known for its horror blockbusters, a partnership that is committed to “building the next wave of genre storytellers” and producing “high-concept, cost-efficient films.”
“When Sundance introduced us to Jason in 2014 as our mentor, we could never have imagined the long and fruitful partnership that would follow,” said Hendricks and Greg Gilreath in a statement. “Entering into this new chapter feels like a natural evolution of that early relationship. We’re thrilled to deepen our collaboration with Blumhouse and to work more closely with the incredible team at Atomic Monster as we expand our combined slate. Together, we’ll be able to pursue even more ambitious genre stories while continuing to grow Divide/Conquer as a home for the next generation of original voices,”
