A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt has confirmed that her husband, John Krasinski, is currently working on the script for A Quiet Place Part III.
“John is currently in his monastic writing cell, just dreaming it up,” Blunt tells Deadline with a chuckle. “He has barely told me anything, so I’m excited about all of it, really.”
The third installment in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror franchise is due out on July 9, 2027 via Paramount.
Krasinski is returning to write, direct, and produce, with Blunt expected to reprise her role as intrepid matriarch Evelyn Abbott.
A Quiet Place follows a family that must navigate their lives in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Released in 2018, the smash hit grossed $340 million worldwide on a $17 million budget.
A Quiet Place Part II followed in 2021, pulling in $297 million worldwide. In the sequel, the Abbott family continue their fight for survival in silence, now facing the terrors of the outside world.
Most recently, A Quiet Place: Day One made $261 million worldwide last year. The spinoff prequel finds a young woman trapped in New York City during the early stages of an invasion by alien creatures.
