‘Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble’ Public Domain Horror Crossover to Film This Summer

Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble — the culmination of the “Twisted Childhood Universe” that kicked off with Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey — will enter production this year.
Announced back in 2024, the Avengers-style crossover is set to shoot this summer, Jagged Edge Productions confirmed on Twitter.
Poohniverse creator Rhys Frake-Waterfield is attached to helm the film, bringing together heroes and villains from Blood and Honey, Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, Bambi: The Reckoning, and the upcoming Pinocchio: Unstrung.
The monster mash is also rumored to include even more nightmarish takes on public domain characters, including Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, and Mary Poppins.
“It will be complete carnage,” Frake-Waterfield previously teased. “We are heavily influenced by Freddy vs. Jason and The Avengers. We would love to see a horror movie where the villains group together and are going after their survivors. We have some incredible set pieces in mind and some sequences I think will truly shock people.”
Before the monsters assemble, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 is scheduled to film in May.
Scott Chambers (Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare) will direct the threequel from a script by Richard Stanley (Color Out of Space).
Equipped with a bigger budget than the previous installments, Blood and Honey 3 is expected to introduce additional Winnie-the-Pooh characters, including Rabbit, the heffalumps, and the woozles.
