A grieving mother awakens a haunting in The Arborist, and the trailer tells us that what doesn’t heal rots.
The horror film hits select theaters and Digital on February 6 via Dark Sky Films. An advance screening will take place in Los Angeles this Wednesday, January 28.
Lucy Walters (“Power”), Hudson West (“Penny Dreadful: City of Angels”), and Will Lyman (“Frontline”) star.
After suffering a devastating loss, grief-stricken arborist Ellie (Walters) and her son Wyatt (West) are hired by mysterious recluse Arthur Randolph (Lyman) to fell the trees in part of his vast, remote estate.
As Wyatt starts showing signs of erratic behavior and falls prey to creature hallucinations, a past tragedy reveals itself, a haunting awakens, and Arthur discloses the real reason he hired them.
Andrew Mudge writes and directs, in addition to producing with Krista Minto, Don Schechter, Nick Santos, Ross Saxon, and Mike Bowes.
The Arborist premiered at last year’s FrightFest London and went on to screen at Independent Film Festival Boston.
