Popeye’s Revenge was the first of several low budget horror movies to exploit Popeye the Sailor’s recent public domain status last year, and now a sequel is setting sail.

The British indie slasher is due out later this year from ITN Distrubtion, the outfit behind its predecessor as well as the Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey franchise.
Popeye’s Revenge director William Stead returns to helm the follow-up from a script by John Oak Dalton.
Steven Murphy reprises his role as Popeye alongside Ashley Bedford, Jodie Bennet, Fitim DeStena, Jack Hyde, Celine Mandy Kosch, Christopher Morley, Lara Sas, Liz Stef, and Jenna N. Wilson.
Plot details are yet to be revealed, but the original film saw the legend of Popeye haunt a group of counselors as they intend to open a summer camp.
