‘The Strangers Trilogy’: New Killers, Witchface and Ghost Skull, Confirmed for Supercut Special Features [Exclusive]

The Strangers franchise has long been defined by its three iconic masked killers: Scarecrow (known as Baghead in the original timeline), Dollface, and Pin-Up Girl. But according to trilogy producer Courtney Solomon, that lineup briefly expanded during production of the recent reboot trilogy.

During an exclusive interview with Dread Central focused on The Strangers — Chapter 3 and the long-teased supercut, Solomon revealed that two additional Strangers killers were fully shot and later removed from the films.

“There were actually in the original version (supercut), two new Strangers that were actually shot and fully in the movies,” Solomon told Dread Central. “One was called Ghost Skull. The other one was Witch Face. We filmed them. They’re going to be included in the extras.”

Those extras are expected to be included in an upcoming physical supercut release, where Renny Harlin’s reimagining of the franchise will be presented as originally intended: as one cohesive epic. The supercut will also receive a short theatrical run before hitting Premium VOD and physical media.

“Think we want to do it, what’s interesting, here’s some of the goodies that horror fans will like,” Solomon said. “In redoing and working on these movies, the reshoots, the original stuff, whatever, we have so much deleted material on these movies. It’s like an orgy of deleted material. What I’ve pitched is we’d like to do a theatrical for those fans that want to enjoy it theatrically, do that for a week or two.”
