Deadline shares the first trailer for the Stranger Things-esque Swedish series Summer of 1985.
The show for Swedish network SVT is based on Let the Right One In author John Ajvide Lindqvist’s latest novel and centers on a group of friends preparing for an epic summer together in the Stockholm archipelago. The calm shatters when a local boy is found drowned near the mythical island of Svärtan. What seems like an accident becomes a murder investigation, exposing fractures within the tight-knit community.
Summer of 1985 is described as “a psychological coming-of-age thriller built for multi-generational viewing.”
