EXCLUSIVE: The hype for the Halloween game is officially underway, and the fun really kicks off this March at PAX East in Boston, where all of the developers will be attending with both Malek Akkad and John Carpenter to reveal the first playable demo.
Michael Myers returns to Haddonfield in the upcoming asymmetric stealth horror game Halloween, which boasts single and multiplayer modes when it comes home to your Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC on September 8, 2026.
There are plans to unleash many surprises over the coming months, but DREAD CENTRAL has some early intel that Ice Nine Kills fans are going to die over: frontman Spencer Charnas has been cast in the Halloween game. Will he become one of Michael’s victims? Could the band also provide an original song? We’ll soon find out.
So far, the developers have confirmed Nick Castle will return to perform motion capture for Michael Myers, alongside actor T.J. Storm, with additional cast yet to be announced.
“Step into the chilling world of John Carpenter’s genre-defining film, now transformed into a suspenseful one-versus-many stealth horror experience in Halloween. Put on the iconic mask to become the ultimate slasher, Michael Myers, stalking and executing the citizens of Haddonfield one by one, or striving to thwart Michael Myers’ plans as Civilians determined to save the unaware townsfolk before it’s too late.
“Stick to the shadows as Civilians, seeking out Haddonfield residents to warn them and searching for a way to contact the authorities. As Michael Myers, give them a reason to fear the dark and cut the phone lines to prevent the police from ruining his favorite holiday.
Experience the unstoppable power of Michael Myers this fall from developer and publisher IllFonic, co-published by Gun Interactive, and in partnership with Compass International Pictures and Further Front.
