Sasha Calle (who played Supergirl for a min in The Flash) has signed on for a role in The Exorcist, Universal Pictures’ next installment of the iconic horror franchise, reports Deadline.
Sasha Calle’s role is being kept under wraps, as is the plot of the film, written and directed by Mike Flanagan, which is shooting in New York City.
What’s known is that the film will tell an all-new story set in The Exorcist universe and is not a sequel to 2023’s The Exorcist: Believer.
As previously announced, the cast also includes Scarlett Johansson, Jacobi Jupe, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane.
In addition to writing and directing, Mike Flanagan is producing via his Red Room Pictures banner, alongside David Robinson for Morgan Creek Entertainment and Jason Blum for Blumhouse-Atomic Monster. Exec producers include Alexandra Magistro for Red Room Pictures and Ryan Turek for Blumhouse-Atomic Monster.
Universal will release in theaters on March 12, 2027.
