Want to become the newest ‘Obsession’ of the star of Curry Baker’s next film? Then text Nikki now and prepare for a love you can’t get rid of
Curry Baker‘s (Milk and Serial) new horror film, Obsession, arrives in theaters this May. But you don’t have to wait until then to fall in love with Nikki (Inde Navarette).
As part of the film’s marketing campaign, Focus Features has unleashed the obsessive lover. Text 724-876-4554, and you’ll begin receiving all sorts of fun (and creepy) messages from Nikki!
So far, she’s sent me texts saying “we’ll never have to be apart ever again” and “I just…can’t seem to get you out of my head.” She even sent a voicemail that has me thinking I may have a new fan…forever.
My friends, is this true love? Nikki sure seems to think so.
NEW TRAILER
In Obsession, after breaking the mysterious “One Wish Willow” to win his crush’s heart, a hopeless romantic (Michael Johnston) finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.
The film marks Inde Navarrette’s breakout role: “Her ghoulishness has all the makings of a newly minted horror icon. I’m not exaggerating when I say this performance is genuinely startling,” Our own Josh Korngut raved in his review. “Think of Mikey Madison’s fireworks in Anora, then imagine she’s been bitten by a Deadite suffering from the world’s worst migraines. Her suffering is nearly as frightening as the suffering she enacts on the world around her. It’s a revelation.”
Focus Features is bringing your new horror Obsession to theaters nationwide on May 15.
