The trailer for Thrash has been unleashed by Netflix, which sees shark attacks from the cult filmmaker behind ‘Dead Snow.’
Netflix has revealed the official trailer for Thrash, a shark-attack thriller from Tommy Wirkola, the director of Dead Snow and Violent Night. The film begins streaming on April 10 and is rated R for bloody violence, grisly imagery, and language.
The movie follows the chaos unleashed after a devastating Category 5 hurricane tears through a coastal town. As floodwaters swallow streets and homes, the storm surge carries something far more lethal with it: sharks suddenly hunting in places they were never meant to reach.
Wirkola says his lifelong fascination with sharks inspired the film:
“I became obsessed with them after Jaws … I spent a lot of my childhood watching shark movies. With extreme weather and flash floods happening more often, it felt like the perfect starting point to combine a disaster movie with a shark thriller.
Phoebe Dynevor, Whitney Peak, and Djimon Hounsou lead the cast.
