Psychological thriller ‘Strung’ will make music on Peacock this June, following its premiere at the American Black Film Festival.
Originally titled Help, director Malcolm D. Lee‘s (Scary Movie 5) psychological thriller Strung has been set for a release through Peacock this June, reports Variety.
Written by Alan McElroy, Chloe Bailey (The Exorcism) stars as “a talented violinist whose prestigious new role as a music tutor for an enigmatic, elite family spirals into a psychological battle for her safety and sanity.”
Also starring are Lynn Whitfield (Eve’s Bayou), Lucien Laviscount (“Scream Queens”), Anna Diop (Us) and Coco Jones (Vampires vs. the Bronx).
Peachtree & Vine and Blumhouse produced, in association with Blackmaled Productions. Tyler Perry, Jason Blum, Tim Palen, Lee and Dominique Telson serve as producers. Philip Waley, Shaun S. Sutton, Alan McElroy and Giselle Johnson-Morris executive produced.
Strung is set to make music on Peacock when it premieres on the service June 26th following its premiere as the opening film at Miami Beach’s American Black Film Festival on May 27th.
