‘They Will Kill You’: Top 5 Hotel Horror Films! [Video]

Put that ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign up and raid the mini bar, because there’s a new maid at the historic Virgil Hotel—or Satanic Temple—as she’ll soon find out. And this gal won’t go down without a fight.

Subtle title aside, the buzz is racking up for They Will Kill You. Star Zazie Beetz serves final girl frenzy while not only fighting for her life, but her immortal soul—pitted against horror royalty Patricia Arquette and Heather Graham.

Director Kirill Sokolov (Why Don’t You Just Die!) makes his first American studio film and teams up with visionary genre producers, siblings Andy and Barbara Muschietti (Mama, IT: Welcome To Derry) and Dan Kagan (Longlegs, Hokum). An original screenplay by Sokolov and Alex Litvak (Predators, Masters of the Universe), and an energetic score by Carlos Rafael Rivera (Just Beyond) round out this killer project.

Based on the preview’s wicked, hilarious fight scenes, we’re in for a high-rise horror ride with the elements we fans want to see: intricate world-building, deliciously dark humor, and blood-soaked mayhem.

Patricia Arquette’s ferocious spiraling while desperately trying to keep in control, and Zazie Beetz wielding a flaming axe, had me on the edge of my seat. But Heather Graham scurrying in a small, dark air duct, manically yelling “Are you ready to die?!”—both a claustrophobic nightmare and also kind of hot!
