‘The Boys’ Actor Emma Elle Paterson has been cast to star as the femme fatale of the upcoming female revenge thriller, ‘Candy’.
Emma Elle Paterson (“The Boys”) will star in and produce the upcoming thriller, Candy, from director Jessica Michael Davis, reports Deadline.
Based on a short story by Mindy McGinnis, who co-wrote the adaptation with Davis, Candy “follows a young woman who reclaims autonomy through a radical bodily transformation, yet as she adopts the persona of “Candy,” empowerment becomes a seductive descent into vengeance and moral ambiguity.”
Davis and Darius Jordan Lee (“Dexter: Resurrection”) also star.
In a statement, Davis described Candy as a “dark, wildly fun and unapologetic—a femme fatale story driven by female agency rather than male fantasy.”
Jeffrey Weber (Snare) will executive produce.
Production on Candy is set to begin this summer.
