Four more have joined the cast of ‘Heart Eyes’ director Josh Ruben’s upcoming creature feature, ‘Green Bank’.
Kumail Nanjiani (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Jim Belushi (Red Heat), Brittany O’Grady (It’s What’s Inside), and Taylor John Smith (Shadow in the Cloud) have joined Tatiana Maslany in Green Bank, reports THR this afternoon.
The upcoming creature feature from director Josh Ruben (Heart Eyes) is “set in Green Bank, West Virginia, a real-world town that has been known since the late 1950s for having a ‘quiet zone’ that severely limits radio and electronic transmissions due to scientific research being conducted in the area. It has since been expanded to include Wi-Fi and cell service.”
According to the outlet, “O’Grady is playing the lead of the story, which follows an infant sleep-trainer who discovers that the parents of the child she is caring for are far more than the clueless yuppies they appear to be.” Something monstrous sure appears to be brewing.
Green Bank is set to begin production this week at Pangaea Studios in Atlanta. Written by Aaron Horwitz (The Cleansing Hour) with producers Andy Horwitz of Big Swell Entertainment, Jack Greenberg of Pangaea Studios, and Josh Ruben, via his Nocturnal Kid banner. Steve Greenberg is executive producing.
Personally, Ruben has yet to miss for me as a filmmaker. I’ve loved all of his movies. To make Green Bank even more intriguing, the creature effects are being overseen by legendary effects artist Greg Nicotero (“Creepshow”) and his team at KNB EFX Group!
