Curry Barker’s cast for ‘Anything But Ghosts’ continues to expand, with ‘M3GAN’ star Violet McGraw joining the fold.
More casting news for Curry Barker‘s next horror film, Anything But Ghosts, as Deadline reports that Violet McGraw (M3GAN) has joined the cast of the filmmaker’s mysterious picture.
McGraw joins cast members Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad”), Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World), Cooper Tomlinson (Obsession) and Barker.
Barker co-wrote the script with Tomlinson. At this time, there are no details on the plot.
Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Spooky Pictures and Divide/Conquer are producing the pic.
Anything But Ghosts is produced by Jason Blum (Blumhouse), Roy Lee & Steven Schneider (Spooky Pictures), Adam Hendricks & Greg Gilreath (Divide/Conquer), in association with Image Nation and That’s a Bad Idea. Executive producers are Barker, Tomlinson, and Image Nation’s Ben Ross.
Focus Features will release the film.
McGraw impressed the hell out of audiences with her performance as Cady in M3GAN. Remember the scene where she sobs to the maniacal AI “toy” about her parents? That scene broke my heart, and much of that has to do with McGraw’s exceptional deliver. Anything But Ghosts just keeps sounding better and better,
Barker was recently tapped to direct the next installment of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for A24. The filmmaker has quickly become a hot commodity in the world of horror. Studios are obsessed, you could say.
